Tools I Wish I’d Known About Before

Rechargeable cordless fuel transfer pump
View attachment 433279
It threads on the mouth of a 5 gallon gas can (not included) and the nozzle fits into the gas tank. Hit the switch and it pumps the gas without any spilling or any of the usual gas can drama as it replaces the problematic spout mandated by the federal idiocracy. It’s supposed to shut off automatically when the gas tank is full. I did not test that feature.

Being made of Chineseum, it’s cheap. Got it off Amazon for less than $60.
I "learned" about this type of product just a couple of days ago as I was looking for a pump to remove old gas from my car. I was not sure how this worked. Thanks for the explanation. I would have bought something useless for the task.

This is what I used to siphon the gas out of the gas tank

Disconnected the fill hose from the tank, then slid the siphon hose into place. It was a tight fit getting it past the roll over valve. After siphoning the gas into the gas cans, the cordless pump easily pumped the gas into the Grand Cherokee.
