Trying to decide if I should chop my fenders??? 2.5" lift and 285x16" Would it look silly or not????

i have 3.5 in lift and 35's i have a set of chopped fenders in the garage and havent put them on yet cuz when i held them up i thought crap now i need 37's lol but when at full stuff the tire hits the factory flares so now i'm thinking maybe i do need to throw on the cut ones..:yup:

First of all, Semper Fi! I was in the Corps the same time as you. I was in '92-97. Second of all, if you are going to chop the fenders, you might as well fill the wheel well up with as much rubber as it will allow. :)

I think I'm going to wait till I do my front and rear bumpers. The added weight will probably sag out some lift and make the trim a little more necessary

Here's a few shots of my Jeep on 285/70/R17 with the chop if it helps you any. There's no denying that there is a lot of space in there, but IMO don't think it looks bad.

I wouldnt chop with that much lift and that size tire...but thats just my opinion. If you were running stock height i would say cop and no lift...but thats not what your asking

Very cool!! Always nice to meet fellow Devil Dog Jeepers!! :thumb: I will hold off on the chop until I move up to 35's.

im debating doing a chop as well for myself. did you guys leave the fender liner in after the chop or remove it all together? idk which route i want to go with it.
