Caught the Bug
Hi, just purchase my first non manual transmission Jeep, a 2014 JK Sport.

It has 225/70/16 tires and I'm going to up grade to 255s for now. If I up grade to the 255s do I need to do anything else, such as front end alignment, reprogram computer for larger tires or is that change small enough to not effect anything. I have 3.73 gearing.

I know for larger 33 on up it's needed. I have never had tires this small on a Jeep hahahaha

reprogram so your speedo is correct but more important so your shift points are correct - it's not much of a tire size change but the electronics are that sensitive..

Depending on your dealership, some will reprogram it for free - or purchase a procal or flashcal to do it yourself

I kinda figured that for the auto, but wanted to double check.

Never driven on all doughnuts before hahahaha. Will upgrade tires asap, so I can do some trails. Would like to go bigger, but that will have to wait a bit. Lift, tires, wheels, ect in the next year or so.
