This is why so many people talk shit about wayalife

You have any sleeves or trusses or just the locker? I've regeared mine to 5.13's, the longer I could make it last the closer those dynatrac's come into the picture. Would love those over a junk yard 60 setup, but the $12k+ price tag kills, especially when I'm about to buy another house and just bought the jku [emoji854]

This is the exact route I'm going. Spending minimum on the factory axles just to get by as I save for 60's. No point in wasting money as I've learned from this place.

Howdy folks, I get this forum. Received my share of "you're a retard,"' insults. Each of us chooses to go with the flow or get upset. Like any other forum I participate in, well, I participate here as able. There's a lot of value in the info and relationships to be had here.

What I've never understood is, since it is made very clear a major part of this forum's existence is to support the Wayalife business (and related), is why folks think it's cool to incinerate new folks. Yes, some bring it on themselves, but I think it's also a group sport for a few folks, actually. Watch a Wayalife video and then visit the forum, you get two totally different impressions. It's like taking a sharp left turn. This sort of behavior puts a cap on growth (desired?); doesn't seem to make sense.

Of course, perhaps I'm just too logical. After all, Eddie endorses it, so clearly I'm missing something.

Buck up little camper, you'll survive.

I sleeved mine, c gussets but I recently saw where Eddie weighed in on sleeves and trusses and made me think if there really is benefit to them.

Yea I sleeved and C gussed my 30 too...really only need he c's though. I would also recommend putting in some chromoly axle shafts. Relatively cheap way to make your 30 last as long as you can.

I have gussets in the garage I haven't welded on yet, but I've been wondering about the sleeves and trusses if I'm not going to be keeping the axle too long... if it'll last

Sell the trusses to try and recover some money. All I'm doing / have done is c gussets, ball joints, wheel bearings, chromo's, and gears. No extra money after all this. If I had faith in myself not to spend funds on something else and could do the front axle in 6 months, I'd skip chromo's and gears.

I have it geared to 5.13 currently, I do not have the gussets installed, I have not purchased trusses or sleeves, but you're saying skip shafts and put it towards a new front?

If you're running 5.13s with chromoly shafts, you're also at risk of breaking the pinion if something were to give out, small gear. As stated earlier, save your money and upgrade the entire axle.

I just want the full clips to keep the knuckle from coming apart and doing more damage.
