Thinking of doing a run on the rubicon - August 19th

called and talked to the forest service in Cali. The Rubicon will be open, However there will be some smoke. They advised that if you have trouble breathing, this trip at this time would not be recommended.

The trip is still a go.

I spoke with Notajerryskid and I will be joining you all last minute :) . The GF and I will be heading up Sunday morning from Oceanside CA and will stay the night, then meet up with you all monday morning. If anyone else is heading from this direction let me know and maybe we can convoy.

The meeting place is still Raley's 13384 Lincoln Way Auburn, CA 95603 at 8:00am Right?

Welcome to the group.
My buddy decided to ride shotgun, so I will be driving down to Edwards AFB to pick him up Saturday night. We will leaving his place Sunday morning. We could meet up with you around Bakersfield

shoot me a pm of when and where you will be meeting. I'm coming from the san fernando valley so I'm about 1.5hrs south of bakersfield off the 5fwy. depending on time i will try to meet up to convoy. I havent even really thought about when i'm gonna leave...lol the less i think about the trip the faster this week is going by!!!!
 
Leaving Las Vegas today headed for the Rubicon, Monday will be here before we know it, ready to hit the trail !
 
Make sure to bring cash if you plan on camping at Rubicon Springs. It is $12.50 per vehicle per night. Also, make sure to bring wag bags for the trail (you can't do your business in a hole and bury it anymore.)
