Thinking about running 40s, any tips or recommendations?

I wouldn't run anything less than 42s personally. You will need to upgrade your pinion seal and axle seals to the heavy duty style.

I personally run 50" on an "X" model. All you need is 4 Teraflex chromoly valve stems, you can get the 5th for your spare free if you also purchase the TeraFlex HD Hinged Tire Carrier.

40's would be fine on your 30 front axle you just need to reduce some weight get rid of your front brake rotors and 4 of the 5 lugs theses things just add extra weight and are not needed.
