The NP242 What does it really do

I went out again this past Wednesday. Last time I tested everything to see if all the 4wd selections worked. All worked and I was pleased with the performance.
This time I stayed on fire roads and stayed in 4Auto and 4PT with offroad plus on and off. As I’m trying to figure out the 242.
All went great except: In 4Auto with offroad plus setting I got heavy drift at speed on the sandy parts of the roads.
4PT with Offroad Plus seemed to keep me pretty well planted.

So to the question. What does the 242 do in PT vs Auto?
Does it bypass the torque bias clutch and fully lockup the front and rear driveshafts somehow . And, if not, does it still insert some level of traction intervention, being it’s in offroad plus.

On another note; the traction control in 2wd on it’s own is pretty darn good.

Having fun learning the Mojave and the NP242 + Electronic intervention!

Any thoughts or insights.

I don't think the model of the t-case you listed is correct, but here's a good teardown video that explains how it works

What is the model case. Anyhow, ya an electronically controlled clutch pack. I thought I heard the tech say the pack will loosen up if it senses binding. And, I’m not even sure how much it will matter to me. Kinda feeling like anything not to have clutches serviced.
Thanks for the vid
