The Evolution of ENVY Build

Mrs. JAGS got a little driving time this weekend! Unfortunately, we couldn't make the newbie run do to family events that came up for Sat. I was bummed so I thought why not hit up a local trail Sunday. We set out to Big Bear for some family fun.

Snow melts quick in SoCal. Most was gone or dirty, but we managed to find a few white patches.

With most of the snow melted, we did find a lot of mud. Might as well have some fun!!!

And last but certainly not least, here's Amy behind the wheel. She didn't know she was going to drive this trip. She did great! She was a little nervous with some of the big mud pits and didn't want to drive the bad areas. (We were solo and getting stuck would be no Fun). Hopefully she'll drive even more next time.

Thanks guys. My wife just sent me a couple pics she took at the end of the day. It was a WWGCM2D moment. Lol. The thought of that much caked on mud was a bit much. We hit the coin wash for a pre rinse.

I did also notice this after it was cleaned up. Looks like I need a new RHD draglink.

Gonna give the skins a little TLC and rust removal. The powder was starting to peel in a couple spots.

Hit the bare steel with a couple coats of primer. Then two coats of semi-flat black enamel. Came out pretty good and hope the enamel hardens up nice.

That's awesome. I haven't had more than a two hr window on the weekends. And, I'm a little nervous to tackle this solo. I'd love to get this done before Moab, but at this point, I'm not sure.

Me too. Not sure if there will be enough time. I guess we'll try for the weekend of the 4th if I can get it here and power coated before then. Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you wanted to try a double install party. I still need to make sure Ray will be available... I may or may not have told him I bought it. Lol 😉

Ha ha. Well, you planning to do a test fit before powder? Seems to be the recommendation.
