The CRAZY emails I Get

Obviously, I am and have been out in the public for quite some time and thanks to things like social media, this forum and LinkedIn, I get a TON of emails from all kinds of people. In the past, most have been questions about Jeep stuff that could easily be asked here but for some reason, they just wanted to get information from me. And, while I still do get a lot of those, I now also get a ton from China companies wanting to send me their products to pimp it for them and of course, they always it sounds like they'd be doing me some kind of favor. That said, I also get really weird messages from people who assume that I'm Chinese and reach out to me because of it :rolleyes:

Needless to say, most of these emails and messages just get deleted before I get past the first sentence but I started to think, maybe I should post a few of them here and just so that we can all get a good laugh from them 😁
 
First up and from the crazy end of things, I got these messages from a China person wanting to know more about the off road industry.

Those are hilarious! The Chinese have been trying to rip off American products since I was a young kid working in the hardware dept of a major chain store. There would be a group of Chinese businessmen in suits asking to see all the American made knives, multi tools, folding shovels etc. If they liked it, they would buy 1. It became clear from their questions they were looking to copy American products, so i would excuse myself and let them do their own searching, I wanted no part of that. This was 40 years ago....
