The building of GR8WHITE2.0 aka The Silver Piece

Are you going to Run coilover? Also you said your stretching so does that mean long arms? I would love to do something like this to my JKU! I can weld and fabricate but have no clue on suspension geometry
Gonna be running ORI Struts. They are a nitrogen/air shock. And yes you could say "long arm" but its gonna be a custom one if a kind set up. Gonna run a double triangulated 4 link in the rear and a 4 link in the front with only triangulated uppers. I will not have a trackbar front or rear.

You're not done yet? :naw:

Worked on axles today. Got all the old mounts completely off the 14 bolt and got it all grinded smooth. Then i sand blasted the chunk because it was pretty crusty. Then moved onto welding on the truss. Truss is fully welded and ready for paint. Was planning on knocking out the front tomorrow but im almost out of shielding gas and can't get a new bottle till Monday. Welds look awesome man. Great progress.

Got the 14 bolt completely buttoned up (other than gears and locker). Painted it, took off the hubs for new studs, paint, and seals. Im gonna get more shielding gas tomorrow and continue with welding front truss and some suspension brackets. Wow you made quick work of that axle!
Definitely trying to get this shit done!
Nicely done sir!
Thanks
Progress looks awesome mikey. Cant wait to see it
Thanks I'm trying to get everything ready so when the Struts get here i can start tearing (or you could say cutting haha) the jeep down.
Damn i want your shop !! Are you a mechanic by trade?

No I'm not... Im a completely self taught mechanic and welder/fabricator.

Got more work done today. Front truss is almost fully welded and i drilled out all my link brackets to 5/8's. (Forgot to get pics of that) Also started putting together and welding my rear 4 link crossmember. (Didn't get any pics of it welded up) I'm gonna be running beefy grade 8 5/8's bolts on all control arms. Its overkill but the underneath of this thing should be bomb proof. Do you already know how to do the triangulated 4 link or is this your first time? If you have any links or anything I'd love to learn more about it.

This will be my first time setting up a 4 link from scratch. I have a ton of knowledge on the subject though. There are a ton of factors that you have to consider. Things like ati-squat, roll center, link separation, and how having the upper and lower link different physical length can effect your pinion angle as the axle cycles, ect.... Could type paragraphs on the subject but ill just send u a couple different links
