Teraflex or off road evolution long arm kit ?

Just purchased a new jk unlimited rubicon and I was now wondering which way to go with the lift kit , I was set on the high clearance long arm kit from o.r.e. With the double throwdown set ups on front and rear , but after investigating teraflex a little bit, watching them install their kits on YouTube I'm wondering if they're really any better or any worse than an off road evolution lift kit ( there's not very many YouTube videos of o.r.e.'s stuff out there ) looking for a 4 to 6" kit and I'd like to put the king bypass shocks on whatever I buy just because they look awesome behind the tires mainly . Any experiences , good or bad with either company ?

I ran a Teraflex long arm kit and it was not as advertised, in my opinion. I had issues with control arm brackets breaking and the overall handling was not what I expected. After switching to the Off Road Evolution high clearance kit, there was noticeable improvement in my ride quality and handling both on and off road. My fiancee even described the new ride as "butter"....it was that much better for me.

As jay said, go with the ORE. The teraflex kit just isn't made for a beating or any flex. I had this on my jeep and was not impressed.

You're buying king bypasses just because they look cool? Man I wish I had $20k plus to spend on something because it looks cool.

Maybe teraflex is a better option for you.

Maybe I had a bit of a brain fart when I typed bypasses ... I just meant the king coil over kit from o.r.e. With the external reservoirs ...

You really can't even compare the two. The ORE double throw down is by FAR the best system out there.

Now when comparing apples to apples the EVO double d long arm kit is still better than the teraflex kit. The ride will be smoother with the either of the EVO kits and they use Johnny joints which are superior.

You're going to drop an EXTRA $15k for no other reason than to have some extra shiny shit behind your wheels?!? Beyond that you're basing your confusion on YouTube videos? Wow

From what I've researched a bolt on coil over kit from o.r.e. Is 2245 for the front , 1850 for the rear , if I do decide to run dtd I can do that for around 8k front and rear , so maybe I'm just as confused as you are with that math

Bolt on does not equal DTD.

I don't claim to be the most knowledgable guy here but you came in talking DTD with bypass socks and now you're quoting prices on the bolt on kit. Someone can read a web page and is playing games?

Hey thanks for the positive input ! What do you run on your rig because I'm thinking I won't use what you do !

You're welcome. :yup:

EVO.

You should go with Teraflex if you have to ask the question. Maybe spend a few minutes doing some research before you make ridiculous posts. :idontknow:

I mean honestly, coilovers because they look cool? Going to run EVO DTD but should I get EVO long arms or teraflex? If you're that influenced by teraflex's movies and like to run Chinese made stuff, knock yourself out.

Check out Metal Cloak, not the most expensive, but there is some excellent engineers who designed these parts.

lmao, watch a few wayalife videos to see evo lifts in action and not dennis wood trying to be funny.

I thought this was quite a good forum for people to ask questions , maybe I'm just curious if teraflex was a comparable option to the long arm kit from o.r.e. , either way I'm sorry I wasted such an intelligent persons time to make them respond with such passion ...you proved to me that not all jeepers are understanding of someone new to the "neighborhood " , I learned that teraflex is also not a domestic made product and that will make my mind up so thank you for your tiny but important bit of help

I was quite impressed with the evo equipped jeeps in the videos , just wanted to see if there was any difference in joint quality or flex- ability in either of the systems
