Same thing is happening to the strip clubs. There's some kind of nonsense wording specifically mentioned that excludes them I believe the word was businesses involved in prurient interests.

My bank said they received 30,000 applications when I called to see what was happening with my application. :crazyeyes:

I have a smallish local/regional bank, and they have something like 17,000 applications.
I'm not holding my breath. The government hasn't helped me ever before this, why would that change now.

Oh well, it was time to downsize and restructure anyway.

Thankfully we have a few months in reserve and I've been picking up jobs here and there since I'm "essential" and can still move freely in Commifornia.

Liquor stores are considered essential here. As happy as I am to get my beer, it's bullshit. I have friends that aren't working that I would consider much more 'essential' that are shut down right now.

Nope, can't do that in PA at anytime. All hard liquor has to be bought from a 'state store' like in Utah. A concession was made a couple years ago that allows convenience stores to sell wine & beer if they have a seating area that you can sit and eat so that helped out some. Still, it's pretty stupid. Pa still has a few blue laws on the books. Car dealers aren't allowed to be open on Sunday, nor are the state stores. Not allowed to play baseball or football before 2pm or after 6pm on Sundays. Not sure how that works cause NFL games start at 1:00. Some other equally dumb shit.

Fortunate to have savings, and my income gets paid with a month delay, so good right now but may and June will be pretty lean. Trying to avoid deferring anything as everything seems to possibly hose you eventually if you go that route. Hopeful to get some small business relief.

I think a lot of hospitals would disagree with you about liquor stores not being essential. Especially when they’re being overrun by alcoholics. There’s an awful lot of them wondering around out there.

I'm not saying a blanket statement that they shouldn't be essential, but it's quite surprising IMO that they are, while other businesses are being shut down.
