Starting issue with key fob

Today I tried to start my 2020 jeep wrangler ...I unlocked the door with the fob...went to start it and it was like it didn't recognize the fob...so I tried my spare fob...same thing. I even tried placing the fob up to the start button..but still wouldn't start..a few hours later I tried again...would not start...so I put the fob up to the start button and it started this time...now it's working like normal...not sure what's happening...anyone know why??

Even though I know spare batteries can get old, I keep a spare battery for the fob in the glovebox.

I have experienced this...gets worse the older the FOB.

I so hate the push button start and have had this problem a few times now. Cold seems to make it worse and probably because it kills batteries, even in FOBs.

Yes, I also had the same problem with both of my fob's after coming back from 11 days of vacation
at the beginning of January. Final got one to work by holding against my chin. Changed both
fob batteries and both worked. Just to be safe, also changed under hood 12 volt battery since
it had been 3 years. Have always changed Jeep batteries after 3 years no matter what. Will now
add changing fob batteries too after 3 years.
