For those of you who are interested in the all new Jeep Cherokee scheduled to be released this fall, you'll be happy to know that it'll come with 30+ mpg, a segment-first 9-speed transmission, more than 70 advanced safety/security features and, if you can believe it, all that at a starting price of only $22,995 MSRP! That's a whole $400 less than the current outgoing Jeep Liberty. :yup:

WOW!!! thats a great price!

I know many aren't a big fan of this new Cherokee. I think it's a great competing mid size crossover for Jeep. May have to pick one up for the wife. 😊

I purchased SWMBO a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited and she loves it. The only learnign curve is getting used to the transmission. When pulling into traffic or onto the interstate she puts in Sport mode to hold the shift points longer. Also Chrysler hasn't figured out how to get the navigation system working yet. We have to take it back in for them to update it. Passenger seat will lay flat. When you put fuel in it for the first time you will notice there is not a gas cap just a place to stick the gas nozzle.

With all the bells and whistle minus 4x4 and the Hemi we were out the door for $33,000.

Don't confuse the Cherokee with the Grand Cherokee. Different vehicles. It would have been better if Jeep named the Cherokee something else.

Moochie,

Thank you for correcting me. Thought it was the same since the picture looks the same.

The new Cherokee is kind of a morph between the extinct Liberty and old Cherokee. I think they kept the Cherokee name in order to retain its history and glory days.

I'll be picking one up for my wife as soon as they hit the dealer and I can find one I like. She drives a car right now and wanted to switch back to an SUV, this looks like a good "fit" for that crowd. I like the Latitude model.
