Squeak PLEASE HELP

as mentioned, check the brake pads and clips.

I've had a rolling squeak driving me nuts for a while until I finally pulled the calipers and found a few of the brake pad clips had broken.

I ended up replacing all the clips, squeak gone

This is really one of those mind boggling issues as I do not think that tapping with the palm of your hand will make the ball joint squeak, but I am no expert and learnt nothing is impossible.

Check shock bushings and where piston where it goes into shock. Also check coil spring at both ends. And even an upper track bar bushing can create some weird noises too.
 
Ok had a look today and there is up and down movement and kind of a clunk sound when moving the wheel up.

Will have them replaced this week. Thanks for all your replies and help!

OK so here is what is wrong.

Ball joints are gone and the squeak is the side shaft universal.

Waiting for stock on the ball joints and there is none in the country currently except for the OEM ones and I want to do the HD ones.

My Jeep will be Jeeping again in a weeks time :clap2:

It is HD joints that Zone Offroad imports not sure which universal. Apparently the HD ball joints comes from Texas

Wanted the Teraflex HD joints but stock in SA only in October :grayno:

What makes either of those Heavy Duty? I personally would choose other brands if I were you. I realize outside the US you may have less options.

IMO I'd just go with the Mopar OEM ball joints if those are your choices.

They can slap the HD tag on any ball joint but seeing how difficult it is for you to get parts, I would go with Mopar OEM
 
I know the ones Zone does is really good quality.

I would of loved to have all the choices you guys have in the States. Unfortunately here by us the agents are really expensive and the better ball joints are actually cheaper than the ones from the dealers.
