Why get a JT and turn it into a wrangler when you can just get a wrangler?

It’s not a wrangler. It’s also not a truck. To me, it’s how I would want a gladiator setup. I’d buy a truck if I wanted one.

No it was a grate of some sort, similar to what was on the side windows

Had to google it. They're grates that protect the vehicle occupants from projectiles. The one on the hood flips-up to cover the windshield.
