Special Thank You to Off Road Evolution!!!

This thread is going off topic. Let's keep it to the intent of the original post.

I think it's super cool what ORE/Mel did. Is it to be expected.....probably not. Was it his (the OP's) lucky day....possibly. Regardless of either, glad it sounds like the issues are being looked at and resolved. :thumb:

I took the train up there once to pick up my Jeep after having some work done. It was late in the afternoon. There was an issue with an axle shaft so it couldn't be completed until the next morning. Mel and Lisa offered up their brand new Rubicon (Evolander) to me so I could drive home and return the next morning to pick up Smokey. How awesome was that! :)

You would think that getting 2 jeeps done at the same time would have meant something but guess not…

Sorry, but in my experience your attitude as a customer has a lot of bearing on how any company will treat you. I have no idea how you approached the issue, but to me the above quote is a bit telling. Regardless, I hope your issues get resolved. :thumb:

That is extremely cool! I've not ever had any shop for any type of vehicle go that far. I'm sure you where very happy to not have to take the train back home. I know how long and boring that ride is:cool:

Since I am the other half to the "two jeeps" I will comment.

First off what ORE did was awesome and they do have great service. I have had choice words in the past but everything I have experienced was with a former employee NOT Mel, Lisa, Drew, etc. Actually dealing with Drew has been great. He has helped fix a couple issues we were having and kept us in the loop on what was going on.

Yes the fact we are 500 miles away has no bearing on the shops performance but I believe what my wife was getting at was it's more a PITA when everyone always says "bring it on by". Not that we wouldn't, can't, won't it is just more than a quick afternoon drive; that is all.

I'm glad the OP has been taken care and believe if I or anyone else was in the same situation they would do the same thing. OP sorry for derailing your thread hope you get everything taken care of quickly so you can enjoy your Jeep as much as us!

Another reason why ORE is second to none

I don't always wheel , but when I do I keep it tight......... Stay dirty my friends.

Great service from ORE! You don't see that very often anymore. I've pretty much got a build sheet already made for whenever I can get into another JK and much of it consists of ORE products.
Only time I've experienced that kind of service, back when I built cars I dropped off my big cam, n2o Trans Am off at RPM Transmissions in Muncie, IN to get one of their built transmissions out in. The owner, Rodney, called and said clutch was shot but offered a near new LS7 clutch pull out for free. I went a couple of days later to pick up and the car wasn't completely put back together and Rodney offered his built C6 vette to me to take home and come back. It was only a couple hrs of work so I waited instead of taking the vette tho

Man I'm hoping one day and can bring my jeep from TX and have ORE build it up for me. Great Job ORE crew!!

That is far from what we experienced. We still have unresolved issues that we are "free to bring it back to get it looked at," sorry if I'm not stoked to drive 500 miles each way to leave my jeep for an unknown amount of time… You would think that getting 2 jeeps done at the same time would have meant something but guess not…
maybe they are getting better….

Yes but we thought the work was going to go smoother.

Thanks "honey" but I know this.

Night boys. People have different experiences. I'm glad his was good.

I just remembered these older postings by you after reading through another ORE customers thread today that he started based off what he felt might be a less than favorable reaction to dealing with the shop.

My question to you: Would you make the 500 mile journey back to the shop if Jake S. was still working there
