Something aint right...

Was crawling around under the jeep tonight and saw this...


Front passanger side brake caliper was all out of whack...

Looks like the bolt that locates the caliper fell off???

Planning on getting a replacement tomorrow, anyone know what the torque should be? Anything else I need to look out for?

Looks like the bolt actually sheared off, I think this is the correct pin kit? Unless they are different between 2010 and 2014?

damn.... at first I thought that was teh 21mm caliper bolt..but that's shitty right there my friend. Seems like it'd be a little PITA to fix. Glad nothing bad happened! that coulda been a bad deal

Yea I checked the link and it didn't cover that specific part, but somewhere on the interwebs I was able to find a post by a brake guy and he stated 32 ft lbs.

All fixed up, had to take a sanding disk to a wrench to get it thin enough to slide in and not bind...

Fix was easy, I am just glad I caught it when I did. Brakes were not making any funny noises or handling strangely, and I am not even sure why I happened to glance over there... But I am sure glad that i did!!!
