Someone just tried to assassinate Trump

Surprise!! not

Deadline for Nobel nominations is 31 January. Since President Trump isn’t Obama, he couldn’t be nominated for something he hadn’t done yet

Obama took office in January 2009. Nominations for the 2009 Peace Prize closed on 31 January that year. He received the 2009 Peace Prize the following October as 44th President of the United States “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”- something he hadn’t done yet and quite frankly, failed to do.

President Trump’s achievements will be eligible for the 2026 nominations. Chances are slim he’ll get a Nobel.

Wouldn't it be awesome if the press reporting on this did their homework and knew the goddam process instead of all running around like the usual fuckwits they are and spouting nonsense?

I would question how badly we actually need robotics? Do we really need to displace all of these factory workers? Whats the point of making products while you're getting rid of jobs that people earn the money to buy the shit robots are making? WTH China gonna do with all of these people?

It appears that the linked article includes totally bogus stuff and many elements of truth. The humanoid robots shown in the photos (from Instagram) are totally bogus because they are not useful for almost any industrial task.

Innovation is necessary in order to be able to compete. If you fail to complete, you fail and go out of business. Robots have long been used in successful business. The production rates need to be high, and for as many hours as possible every day.

If robots (or illegal aliens) are going to take your job, then you need to find a new occupation which avoids the threat.

You make a good point that the Chinese people who moved from farms to factories may now be out of work given that there is much less manual assembly and testing.

Yeah, because the form of the robot makes a difference? Only humanoid robots are taking human jobs?

Do you ever read the drivel you type before you hit Post? My point long term is what are we as a collective going to do do when robotics truly displace humans? You get Skynet Bob.

You don't think that will happen here between AI & Robotics?
