I think next one is a 44 mag. I have an old Marlin 336 30-30 I picked up when I was 11 and just picked up a new Marlin 1894 in 45-70.

I’m a sucker for these lever guns so I’m pretty biased but I’m impressed with it. Action is tight and no slop. Quality/fit & finish is on par with the older Marlins. Not many rounds through it yet but I love it so far. Going to be 60 here this weekend so I may just take it to the range.

Sometimes I just buy cases of 22LR at random times at the store just because of how cheap it is. My only hope is that one 22 round will take out the zombies when the time comes.

It's better than nothing. I've killed skunks and possums with those subsonics at 40 yards. I'd imagine point blank would at least do something.
