Thanks. I'll look into it. Similar boat for me with a crossbow. Currently i can only stabilize it on my shooting rail which is great but it sticks out of my covering so the string doesn't get caught up when firing. I'd like to sit back more so my weapon is inside of my blind covering. The crossbow company makes one but it's pretty pricey.Amazon.com : Adjustable Shooting Tripod for Rifles,Shooting Stick 3-in-1 Convertible Tripod/Monopod/Bipod, 22.8″-61″ Height, Lightweight Aluminum Alloy with Carrying Bag, Stable Rifle Rest for Hunting Outdoor : Sports & Outdoors

Not bad for a cheap one from Amazon. I needed something for him to shoot off of from a hunting blind. Works pretty good for $40

I don't have any range/draw experience with a concealable OWB holster but take a look at We The People holsters - good quality and price and what I use for IWB.What do some of you folks use for OWB carry? Interested in finding something that sits close enough to still cover. Currently I use alien gear shape shift IWB. I like it but want an OWB option. Thought about just getting the back to shift it into OWB but like the idea of having options depending on what im wearing.

The clothing part is why I'd like to keep my IWB intact and have a separate holster. That way I can be more flexible on what I wear. On a belt, I use a 5.11 best that should be stiff enough. I hadn't thought about the seat belt thing. I'll definitely check out the brands listed.I have carried OWB concealed a lot.
Mostly I’ve used kydex holsters from Blade-Tech, Raven Concealment, Tenicor, HTC, Safariland, and some home-brewed kydex.
For leather I use a Milt-Sparks.
I know guys who use the Alien Gear OWB and like it.
Clothing is a big factor with OWB. Also I would always get a OWB holster with adjustable tension- it’s more critical than with a IWB holster due to the belt not providing any tension on the gun like it does with IWB.
For a cover shirt use clothes with a stiffer fabric, like a Carhart shirt. If you use a thin wispy fabric it is more difficult to clear from the gun. Everyone knows the fishing weight or coin trick but you can also have a ‘Gun Patch’ sewn into the inside of your shirt which stiffens the area around the gun, makes it easier to draw and helps reduce ‘printing’. All my suits have these patches.
Another issue I have seen with OWB is they get caught on seatbelts much easier when getting out of a car and can pull the gun out of the holster.
Also a stiff quality belt is even more important carrying with OWB.
Lastly- practice, practice, and practice.

I recently bought a one of the laser dry fire kits just so I could practice pulling and shooting at home in my basement. Have yet to set it up but excited to try it out and get some reps in.
