From people with more knowledge than I have about Glocks, the design change eliminates the ability to convert it into a full auto with the Glock switch
Yeah.. other than the CA ban... they are dealing with multiple lawsuits. I already picked up another G19. Who knows when CA will have Glocks again. I figure They will either modify the Gen 3's (I doubt it) or we will be waiting for the Gen 6 Here.

Read that in the above article, maybe the V will add a couple more grip serrations and call it a day 😂

What is actually different between each gen? Lol

Dang had to look this up, I was unaware. Totally blows. Love my Gen 5 though aside from the trigger.

Any recs on that? My buddy has a CMC one I really like.

The V is only because of the switch.. and they will modify Gen 5 (hence the "V")... I don't think this is a product update... That will come with Gen 6. I could be wrong though.

Not sure what you are saying here...

Gotcha. Now that I’m aware of the striker fire ban I am up to speed.

Sorry, Glock trigger recommendations. Something lighter to take out the slop.

Not really a "striker fired ban". Only Glocks (and Glock clones) because of the cruciform (looks like a cross) trigger bar... in simple terms it's easy to install a switch with their design.

I don't mess with aftermarket triggers... especially on carry guns. Glock does have drop in options though... you could try their performance trigger or simply swap in a lighter connector. Factory is 5.5lb / they also sell a (-) 4.5 or an (+) 8lb. Aftermarket you can get a 3lb. Personally I like the 5.5 or even the 8lb on a carry gun. Last thing you need is a hair trigger under stress.

Really good point. Would definitely just be on a range gun. I’d like to pickup a Hellcat Pro for carry when I can.
For range.. go for it... There are a few out there.. I just don't have experience with any to comment on it. Best trigger ever is a 1911, and the Glock trigger still has never bothered me even compared to that.

Hellcat Pro is a great gun. Comfortable size for Carry.. Similar to the G43X, G48 or P365 Macro etc. I'd say the Hellcat triggers or a little heavier than the Stock Glock... probably like 6 - 7lb... which I like.

I've got a couple with 4lb triggers that I only use at the range and also won't let many others use.
My gun range buddy tried it and he fired off a 2nd round during the kick, they are pretty sensitive.
I've considered changing it out but I like how it actually helps me clear my mind and focus only on the shooting.

I’m looking for glock 45 cal, in full size or compact. And there’s nothing around here. 😢
Pretty sure the Glock 30 subcompact is available in CA. Not the full size 21 (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong) Both .45
Whatever is left on the shelves or private party transfers... Only the slimline will not be affected.. 43, 43x, 48. Everything else is discontinued Nationwide and Banned in CA.

These are good. Safe but a more crisp pull with less slack/slop. I have them in several of my Glocks.

Yeah, missed the boat and shelves are empty. Hopefully we’ll get the V series but i doubt it. CA will allow glock to reapply but will sit on it for years.

Exactly.. The whole thing with this switch and the ban is unconstitutional but you know how it goes… guilty until proven innocent.. which takes years to fight. Unfortunately I think Glock is just looking at it from a business aspect with sales… avoiding more BS lawsuits and or using this opportunity to shift towards Gen 6.

I only bought another because I have a bunch of mags, parts, a couple slides etc. I’ve kinda invested in that system. But really for a guy not invested.. who cares, get an Springfield Echelon, M&P, Walther or SIG (maybe not SIG) I plan on getting the Echelon 4.0 once they hit the shelves.. its basically a G19 but better right out of the box. I just really like the simplicity of Glocks.

Yep, everything this state does is unconstitutional. I’m a Glock guy, as much as CA will allow, and simplicity is why I went with them. No matter which model you grab, it feels the same and works the same. I like that should I ever need them in a stressful situation.
