Hey guys short notice quick trip tomorrow! We made it through Las Vegas - the Hoover dam and grand canyon today and plan on hitting the broken arrow trail in Sedona AZ tomorrow morning before tracking back east!

Was told it was stock friendly and very scenic. If anyone is free and interested in joining us-

Enjoy it. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Frankly, there are other trails in the area as well. And sunset near the airport is worth taking in.

You should hit up NAUJK as he lives in the area. firecrew1 I believe is out there too. Hope you guys are having a blast!

Devil's Staircase on Broken Arrow is fun with a stock JK. Got a few dings in the skid plate going down. Surprisingly it went right up with rear locker on. Enjoy and watch out for the Pink Jeep tours.:cheesy:

If you have a little extra time, there are several trails in the area. All very doable (stock) and nothing to strenuous on the jeep. That area is so beautiful, I'd hate for you to be right there and miss it!! Just be sure to wash the red dust off ASAP...;)

Ancient Ruins • 3 hours - Easy

Take a scenic drive along red rock canyons to discover 700-year old Sinagua Indian ruins. Actually go into the ancient rooms and view 4000 year old rock art. Fascinating cultural experience and great views of the red rock cliffs towering above you.

Soldier Pass • 1.5 hours - Moderate/Adventurous

One of Sedona's most popular Jeep trails. A fun drive through a red rock canyon below Coffee Pot Rock and Thunder Mountain. Includes stops at the Seven Apache Pools and Devil's Kitchen Sinkhole.

Broken Arrow • 2.5 hours - Adventurous

Sedona’s most famous and popular Jeep trail, with fun four-wheel-driving and great views. Visit Submarine Rock, Chicken Point, Mushroom Rock, and the famous “Stairs” aka “Road of No Return”. Drive right up onto the red rocks.

Couple other Cool Sedona Trails:
• Cliffhanger – Adventurous/Difficult
• Diamondback Gulch/Greasy Spoon - Moderate/Adventurous

I would imagine firecrew1 is on fires since it is summer. I lived that life for many years. You pretty much don't see anyone for like 4-6 months

What time are you guys hitting the trails? I run the Sedona trails all the time, but I'm located in Phoenix, so it would have to be a noon or later run for me to make it up there and join. Broken Arrow is fun for crawling on the red rocks, but you can almost certainly expect a few skid plate dings if you are running a stock setup. My 3 favorites out that way are Broken Arrow, Soldier's Pass and Greasy Spoon, in specified order. The last 2 will be most friendly for a stock setup, I scrap/hit in a few places along broken arrow and I'm running a 2.5" lift and 33's. Another thing to consider is both Soldier's Pass and Broken Arrow are frequently congested with paid tours such as Pink Jeep Tours etc. I personally do not mind backing up a few times on the tight trails to let them pass, but some might. Below are pictures from Broken Arrow, including the famed "the steps" obstacle, as well as some pictures of Greasy Spoon trail, which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

We learned Broken arrow is not part of the jeep badges but SchneblyHill trail is, so we jumped up to that and ran it all the way up, over and through to I-17! Much more interesting then just taking the highway through the valley from Sedona to flagstaff :yup:
