Rock Slider Options

Looking at replacing the thin Rubicon decoration they call sliders.

So far, with limited research, 2 options seem to be what I'm looking for. LoD Signature Series Rock Slides & EVO KSPEC Rock Sliders. Not sure if the EVO warrants almost 2x the price of the LoD.

Any other options that are frame mounted, don't extend excessively but could be used as a step?

I'd go EVO but yeah it's a good amount of cash. From what I've seen knowing many that run them, they can take an absolute beating and that's worth it to me. The LoDs are nice too but as Mike said (and I'm pretty sure he's had both) they are tucked up tighter to the body which I'd prefer as well. Need to get some for my JK eventually.

Both are good options. If you play hard enough, any slider can bend so may come down to preference. I do prefer the EVO sliders myself. One big thing I would also consider though is if you plan on going with a long arm upgrade in the future or if you have long arms now. I bring that up since the rear most mounting bracket will need to be modified/moved in most cases. The EVO sliders are designed around their long arm kits.

LOL - I don't know man, with the exception of the factory Rubicon rock sliders bending up and making contact with the rocker panels with enough hits, I've always found them to work surprisingly well and I've always been amazed at how super resistant they are to getting dented in.

That said, I've run both and can tell you that both are good choices. As mentioned, ANY rocker guard will dent and or bend with enough hard hits and anyone who will try and tell you otherwise is clearly someone who doesn't wheel their Jeep nearly as hard as they imagine. That said, of the two choices, I do prefer the EVO set and for the reasons that Mike and Disciple have mentioned.
