RINSE KIT - Which One Would You Choose?

Ever since our good friend Garrett showed us his original Rinse Kit years ago, Cindy and I have been wanting one for ourselves. Of course, at SEMA, we saw that they've made some really nice improvements and will now be offering different products to satisfy different needs. And, there in lies the question - which one would you get?

A 5 gallon rack mounted Rinse Kit?

Or a portable 4 gallon Cube like this?

Be really interested in hearing which one you would get and why.

Thanks for chiming in and glad to hear I'm not the only one thinking about summer LOL!

With that said, I think I'm leaning toward the cube too. The rack mount is cool in that it carries an additional gallon and being able to store it up and out of the Jeep is really nice too. But, not all our Jeeps (actually none right now) have racks and I don't know how convenient it'll really be to fill up and load up on a regular basis.
 
I’d definitely go with a cube…especially if you have more than one rig to carry it with. When I was first looking at them, they used a bicycle pump to pressurize the unit…I was interested in using an adapter to pressurize with my onboard compressor…do they still use a bicycle pump?…and do they still have a dc plug option to heat the water?

Okay, that makes 3 for the cube. I'm pretty sure that these new Rinse Kits come powered and no longer need the bike pump. They do have optional heaters and we would definitely get that.
 
Having a rack I'd go with the rack mount. I have a couple of water cubes right now and they slide around, aren't quite square enough to stack things on them, too heavy to stack on other things, and the wife complains they are heavy to move for her. Plus I'd like to keep the leaks on the outside of the Jeep. They are generally just a PITA but they work. So I'm the odd man out I guess.

As much as I like the snow and know we need the water, I’m so over it. Ready to get back outside. But that’s kinda my thought process too, might be more trouble than it’s worth for the extra gallon
 
I kinda don't want to say that I’d go for the rack mounted option for the same reason as Jim… I don’t want to be the only other dog at his orgy. Haha
 
Of those two, I’d go with the cube. More portable, though it looks like power is still required. Being that you have so many rigs, being able to take it with you in any one of them would be a big plus. I currently use a Nemo Helio LX as it doesn’t require power and folds flat as a pancake when I’m done using it.
 
I vote cube for its portability as well. It would be cool to have the 5 gallon one on a rear cargo rack above the spare tire so it can soak up some heat from the sun but that would be a project.
 
I’d go with the cube for my purposes and where I want to take the Jeep.

Adding another 50 Lbs of weight up high with the rack mounted version seems counter productive for rock crawling. I’m sure for general off-roading and exploring it wouldn’t make any difference.
 
In Hawaii we used to put two empty shoyu gal bottles filled with water on top of the roof warmed by the sun to rinse off after diving or surfing…tech has come a long way since then…
