That's an interesting product. It does make a complete look. And thanks for the heads up on soldering. I have to admit I had considered that. I haven't bought anything yet just due to it not being real pressing but I'll make sure and not solder it

I used the permatex ....its junk ...you get what you pay for ...it doesnt last
I used the following ....twice ....one for each side of the glass....2 years later ....still good

Never thought of this being a "wear item"! Rear defrost electrical lead broke off where it goes through the back glass. (see pics). Doesn't look like a tough job, but wanted to check with folks on here who may have seen or done it.

Should be no issue to do this repair, and I imagine it's a dealer only part. I'm traveling right now and won't have the opportunity to work on it until the 18th, but can order the part so it'll be ready.

Ah ok...didn't see it....there's a couple for the JK, but this is a 2020 JL; don't know if different.

Mods, if the implementation & parts are the same, well since it's a duplicate, please delete I'll keep looking...

I have seen kits on Amazon to protect this wire.
