Rear axle tone ring to small!

Just purchased a nice set of rear axles from factory10 in order to upgrade my rear stock axles. After making the swap I notice the ABS system started freaking out after 3 or 4 MPH. After a closer look it was discovered the tone ring that was pre assembled on the axles are smaller in diameter than the stock ones and not communicating with the ABS sensor correctly! Re-installed the stock axles and it runs like a champ. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1468262230.738903.jpg

Anyone ran into this issue with an axle swap on a 2015 or newer JK?

I haven't but are the sensors "adjustable"? I know that I've seen some that were just don't know about the Jeep's. Don't know if this helps

I just installed Nitro rear axles and had zero issues everything came fully assembled just slid right in no lights

Ok so Northridge and Factory-ten say they have never had this issue and yet on the forums I am finding it here and there. The stock and factory ten tone ring are clearly different however more importantly the factory one sits much closer to the sensor than the factory ten one. Could that distance cause the sensor to freak out and not pick up the tone ring? You can't tell me no one has never run into this when upgrading rear axles on a 2015 or newer jeep. They sent me new tone rings and they are just the same as they ones they had pre-assembled on the axles.

Better get your money back and go with Revolution or something different, I think Dynatrac has them too

Its just a mistake If the rings are actually smaller on the Tens. I just installed a set this afternoon from Northridge on a Rubi and have zero issues. Tone ring is identical size and placement as factory.

Nope they sent me another set and they are the same darn size as the first set and sit to far away from the sensor and cause the ABS system to freak out.

I saw this thread before my Ten axles showed up and I was concerned about having an issue. Maybe I got lucky but the rings on my new axles appeared to be just as close as the factory rings. Are they Rubicon or standard axles?

I guess its possible that there are few batches stacked up that have the wrong rings

Crazy man don't know why their different sizes and ten factory says their correct send them a picture of size maybe that will help otherwise return? Or put your factory rings on. Hope you get it worked out.

Got new rings and everything seems to work now! Go figure......

So you had to press everything back off to get the correct tone rings on? That blows, but glad you got it right and hope it was no additional money out of your pocket
