If you gravel first and then decide you want something more civilized, a lot of folks in my neck of the woods asphalt over it. The results are nice and it's a fraction of the cost of concrete.

I prefer the gravel. Concrete and asphalt are for city folk. lol but if I get vetoed eventually it would be concrete.

Definitely don’t have to have fancy equipment to take great shots. Was fun to try out but definitely not a lens I’d want to lug around on a camera all day lol
