If we cut out all federal Gov spending not directly specified under the Constitution we could run the Nation off of tariffs like we actually did prior to the 16th Amendment.
If individual states want to do stupid stuff like EBT that’s up to them under the 10th Amendment. Some states would do it and some would not. People then have the ability to move to a better state that aligns with their values. States that do stupid stuff should not be bailed out by states that don’t.
Nothing will ever change until we repeal the 16th Amendment. Repeal of the 17th Amendment would be extremely important also.
