Random Internet Shit you've come across

I was doing 70 in the right lane on cruise control (speed limit was 70) going up a long grade when a truck decided to pass me…he only could get even with me, then began to honk his horn for me to slow down so he could pass…
Why didn’t he slow down so that he could fall back in line?🤷‍♂️
See it all the time on the Tehachapi Pass. Holds up passenger vehicles for miles, and usually at speeds down to 35-40.
Have noticed a huge change in the courtesy and demeanor of OTR truckers since the 70’s along with the demographics change.

The highways are WAY too crowded. I drive I-40,I-95 and I-81 a lot. While all are crowded I-81 has become so insane I often take secondary roads when I can.

There has been no significant expansion of the interstate system in years. The Nation has added over a hundred million people in the last 30 years and the interstates have not expanded to keep up- yet we are sending billions to Ukraine and hundreds of millions to other countries.

Bottom line every interstate in the US should be 3 lanes at a minimum- and that’s between major towns. Ask yourself why there has there been no significant expansion.

I just turned up my stereo…and kept on going. He eventually slowed down (most likely not on purpose) and moved behind me. I have no clue why he thought he could pass me on the long hill in the first place…

I am a firm believer in using trains for interstate hauling. Regardless, I have switched to using secondary roads as much as possible. The trip time is about the same. I am not afraid to use the steering wheel
