I've never ever heard anything like that. We have Amish communities throughout Western Pa & Eastern Ohio, if there was even a hint of something like that going on you can be sure their haters would be all over that.

Having said that, they are well known to treat their animals pretty harshly, particularly their horses.

Treasure likely got moved. Just like the wealthy generational families. That stuff doesn't just disappear. Like all the treasures through Biblical times. It's still somewhere and someone alive today knows right where it is.
