Power Steering Hot Warning?

I just got the most unusual warning on my 392 EVIC and it kicked on just as I was about to pass on a 2 lane highway. As soon as I stepped on the gas, I heard a 'ding' and saw the following message along with what looked like a red steering wheel with an exclamation mark above the temp guage.

"Power Steering System Hot Performance May Be Limited"

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a pic of the message it being that I was driving and it went away after a few moments. The red steering wheel with exclamation mark stayed around longer but it eventually went away too. I should note that I can't say that I felt any difference in steering when this occurred.

Any of you ever get this message before?

Had this message pop up while running trails on an extremely hot day, with little to no break in between runs. did not notice a performance decline and it self cleared when the vehicle had a chance to cool. my message remained on the dash until the vehcile cooled.
