If you initially sprayed enough coats (4-5) on the wheels then you should merely have to scratch an edge up and pull it off. However, if you didn't spray enough coats then you'll likely have to just bead it off with your fingers or a dry microfiber cloth. It can be painstaking but it will all come off just the same.

If it's thin WD40, a brush, & a power washer works well.

I also found that when I tried to remove dip in the cold (30-40 degrees) it didn't come off as easily as it did when it was hot out. :twocents:

Maybe try a hair dryer or heat gun?

I can't see how it would hurt. Good idea. I think a hairdryer would be sufficient, a heat gun may be a bit of overkill.

I'll certainly be trying this next time I need to peel some dip!

Yep this. I used goof off in an aerosol can and took off 2 coats of the rustoleum bedliner. Let it soak then used a plastic brillo pad and lightly scrubbed it off. No scratches and it worked great.

I used WD40 and a brush. It was a mess, but it worked. The plastidip turned into black boogers!
