Pet Peeves - What Pisses You Off?

These fucking coyotes. I realize nature will always have predator/prey but these fuckers multiply and adapt to any environment. They really have no other predator other than humans/cars. Bobcats/lions really don't bother me as they are few and far between. But these coyotes are great in numbers and are a major imbalance to the ecosystem. They eat baby deer and people's pets. Fuck these things.

The pets. I haven’t seen a Yote since two weeks before I put the traps out. But there isn’t easy meals for them around here and they have to work. It’s easy down your way.

Crazy that you have so many of them in your neck of the woods. Growing up, I always associated coyotes as being a desert thing. That said, we do have them out in our neck of the woods but I've never really seen them as being a problem. Mostly, they tend to mind their own business. I wonder if what you have in your area are just more aggressive.

It sure is strange. Everyone I know around here that hunts sees them on trail cams all the time. Always after deer too. There is a lot of timber/cover here. We see them dead on the road all the time too. I wish they'd just eat rabbits or salads. They tend to really follow deer here.

damn, must be a great food source there, those are so much larger than the scrawny ones I see around here.

Where are you? Here in Va I’ve seen one over the last 15 years or so and we live in the mountains near the Shenandoah river. I’ve seen way more black bear than yotes. Used to see them all the time in California.

Eastern TN. Similar terrain. Do you have trail cams? I'm blown away with what is seen on cam vs what is seen with the eye. I literally have a ton of deer in a very small amount of timber behind me. Without a camera, I'd never even know they were there. Same goes with bobcats, possums, coons, etc.

No trail cams on my property but my friend has a bunch of land we hunt on up the mountain I’ll ask him. He keeps tabs on the deer year round. We hear the bobcats but never seen one, see fox regularly, deer and turkey too.

Critters of the night are as active as birds/squirrels in the day. You just don't know it. We even caught some nocturnal flying squirrels on cam this year. It's cool.

A ghost of the night. I happen to have 4 cameras in this clearing. In the course of last night, I only have about 20 seconds of footage of this jackass.
