No 4WD Dash Indicator Lights

I have a 24 Wrangler JL. I was attending my first Jeep Adventure Academy. As we were heading out, I noticed I did not have any indicator light for my 4WD position. I don't think this a big deal until we were coming down a long hill. They were telling us about the hill descent feature. I couldn't activate this feature because I did not have an indicator light on.
I'm looking for any ideas on how to diagnose and fix this issue.

Are you running aftermarket axles like 1-tons and if so, did you use something like a Tazer to turn off your MIL lights on the EVIC?
