Cuz in the outback they like to live dangerously! Example dingos crocodiles and even kangaroos! But it's a neat idea and for the really adventurous person I could see it being a backup to a winch say if your spending a longtime in the wilderness And your winch breaksdown(cuz even the best can break too)

Yeah, they work....but I've yet to actually see anyone use one.....at the price of some of the winches in the market these days, these things are just too expensive and time consuming to rig.....and they have to fit the PCD pattern of a particular vehicle, which makes them model/make specific. If I wasn't wanting to spend money on an electric winch, I'd buy a good quality hand winch like a Tirfor.
