Need some mod ideas....

Hey everyone, I have a '12 JKU Altitude edition that I have leased. I have done some minor mods - 33" Nitto TG, 17" Pro Comp rims, KC Hilites on A pillars, daystar switch panel, rugged ridge light guards all around, and an AFE CAI and cat back exhaust - all mods that can be swamped back out for stock if I decide to turn it in, which I don't see happening unless I get a crazy deal on a new Rubi or something. My lease is up in 2015 and I have been restraining myself from buying anything else but as you all know that is quite difficult. I have recently had my first real offroading experience at Rausch Creek and now I'm tempted even more. Anyone have any good ideas for some useful mods I can do that won't require any "permanent" modifications? I'm looking into more lights, stock Rubi sliders, maybe a bestop. What's thoughts on putting in the stock Rubi coils and springs for a little extra help? Thanks for any ideas

Bumpers, sliders and many lifts. Just keep the stock parts around until you decide that your keeping the Jeep.

We have been discussing these in several other threads; Trucklite LEDs. A serious improvement over stock headlights, they look great, work great and you get to use their benefits everyday. Really they are also bright enough on hi-beam on the trail that you may probably not need extra lights :thumb:

I would also look at a really good quality slider over stock Rubicon rails, something like LoD or Shrockworks bolt on sliders are really made for hard use and you can remove them if you sell the rig.

Don't forget about some recovery items like a decent kinetic snatch strap, a good tow strap and 2-4 decent shackles/d-rings, so this way a buddy with a another jeep can pull or winch you out.

Sorry if I started an unnecessary thread. Tow strap I have covered and I was actually looking at the LoD sliders but didn't realize they were bolt on, thought you needed some drilling and such.

If its a lease, I probably would not even wheel that thing then, the opportunity for the dealer to benefit on anything "other than normal wear and tear" is far too great.

True. I was extra cautious and only plan on doing green level wheeling for the maybe handful of times I would be going before the lease is up. Figured in my situation sliders would be ideal for the "just in case". As for bumpers, don't they require some type of modification? At least the front I'll have to relocate the vacuum pump no? What about the Rubi coils and springs? Would they help at all? My Altitude is based on the Sahara so I have that suspension
