Hey all, I figured I would come here to get help identifying a bracket I've never seen on any of my previous Jeeps. Passenger side attached to the frame. It appears to serve no purpose that I can see. ??

It’s supposedly to prevent rollovers. There’s a number of threads on the subject. This is the latest.

Thanks. That answers that. So I can definitely remove it. I was genuinely curious. It looks ridiculous and out of place.

It’s very hard to remove just fyi. The bolts are hardened so tough to cut thru. If you’re not hitting it with your tires or need to install brackets that would go there then I would leave it.

Its purpose is to help prevent a rollover. Safety standard.
