Are these any good? I had a set of Goodyear Kevlar MTR ordered, got great deal on them, part of a new production run with a 30 day delivery time. More than 30 days and production has not started and they don't know when it will, so the guy offered me the MTZ tires for the same price with a ship date of tomorrow and delivery date of Wednesday or Thursday. Never had or know anybody that has run these so I need feedback please: quality, life span, road noise, ease of balancing and will they stay balanced after thousands of miles? Oh they are 35/12.50/17

I had them on my 09 2dr. I loved them i lived in the mntns they were great tires. I aired them down to 10 lbs on trails no beadlocks no problem. I have Goodyear Kevlars now i actually liked the MTZ's better my Goodyears dont ride real well and a nightmare to balance...Just my 2 cents worth.....

My brother has a set on his Jeep and is on his second pair, he loves them and refuses to get anything else. The first pair lasted around 40k miles and with how my brother drives that's very good. They stayed balanced, and as for road noise I really can't compare as he keeps a bikini top vs my hard top and stock tires.

Mickeys are good tires...however I'd check him on his price, MT/Rs with Kevlar are one of the most expensive MTs on the market.

I've got 35K on my MTZs. Never had to rebalance them. They've worn pretty evenly. Work great in mud, snow, rain and handle well on dry roads. I've had no problems airing down to 10 psi off road. I've got the 315/70/17s. Just ordered my second set.

I've also heard great things about the MTRs.

And like previously mentioned, check the pricing. MTZs are definitely less expensive than the MTRs.

They were on canvas when I purchased in Feb 2013. I did not like them because of the road noise. The wear was uneven. Be sure to chalk test the tires to be sure the pressure is correct.

My only recommendation is do not settle for a tire that you do it being offered by a salesman. There is a reason those are being pushed.
