While Jeep owners everywhere are replacing their iconic 7-slotted grill with angry nonsense, the Vanderhall Brawley GTS is purposefully trying to make their 404 horsepower electric side-by-side look like a Jeep. And, while I'm no fan of electric, I know that Jeep is knee deep into it and honestly, this is the vehicle they should have been making instead of the Renegade.

Fully enclosed, heated seats for all 4 passengers, 35" tires, 4-wheel steering, 140 mile range and just under $50k. Yeah, Jeep, this could have been you.

I’ve seen the Brawley in action on the rocks out at Little Moab. Very capable but it has one major flaw- It doesn’t idle. As soon as you lift your foot from the throttle, the motor stops. Actually, I should say “ motors”. They have one at each corner. Therefore, you cannot two foot the brake and throttle to ease over obstacles. I’m told many EVs are like that.

Interior is nicely appointed for a SxS with an enclosed cabin and heat. I don’t recall if it had AC.
