If you get time for a closer inspection, I am curious if that brake rotor/caliper is functional for some reason or just cosmetic. Land Rover at one point had a brake drum on the rear driveshaft for an ebrake.

I believe that’s how they brake those 2.5 ton Rockwell axles

What ddays said. Totally common on mud trucks.

You need to seriously look at gold powder coating your entire driveline and suspension.
