Looks like a great build so far ERAUGrad04. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Where in the SF Bay Area are you from? I'm out in Discovery Bay

Front and rear Dynatrac diff covers went on this morning. Holy crap these things are stout when compared with the factory covers!

Used The Right Stuff RTV to seal the covers and torqued everything down to 30ft/lbs. Used 75w90 Royal Purple gear oil and the front took about 1.3qts and the rear about 2.2qts.

Next up... EVO Protek Skid system!

Finally was able to get the Wayalife fender decals on now that the Wrangler Unlimited decals showed up. I had removed the factory decals as the EVO Rock Skins just barely overlapped them.

EVO Protek system went on this afternoon. Had to trim off the mounting ear on the passenger side of the trans skid as a result of the AFE Y-Pipe. A big thanks to Eddie for the great write-up! Didn't even bother looking at the install pamphlet that came with the system. No need when you have a great write-up complete with color pictures! :)

I decided to live a little dangerously and installed the oil pan skid without draining the engine oil. :D

Guess it's too late at this point, but I had the same issue, but found that taking a hammer to that "ear" adjusted it just enough to work. It does touch the Y-pipe, but I haven't heard any noise from it or seen any rubbing issues to be concerned about.

I was worried that not having both mounting points would weaken the strength in the unit.

Now ya tell me! :)

The plate does flex just a hair on the passenger side, however, looking above the plate, there is nothing other than case. I guess I figure if the jeeps comes down hard on something the skid may flex and contact the transmission, but probably wouldn't do any serious damage.

I guess time will tell!

Sold my 35s today with rims. New 37" Trail Grapplers will be here Wednesday. Only one problem... Slabs are on backorder and may be up to 5 weeks before they make it here!

If anyone has a lead on 17x9 Slabs, let me know and the next round is on me!

Why did you do this again..... Should have waited till you had the Slabs. :naw:

Yeah, that was a thought. My 35s had been up for sale for a while so when I got a few bites, I figured I should run with it. Not having the Jeep for the next couple of weeks is going to suck, but really excited to be up and running on the 37s!

37x12.50x17 Nitto Trail Grapplers showed up today! Huge thanks to Discount Tire Direct! Their pricing was incredible and second to none. I ordered them last week Wednesday and they showed up today and that included a two day delay as they were back ordered. I've been a customer of Discount Tire for nearly 15 years and they have always been a great company to do business with and they continue to impress! :)

I got really lucky and found 5 ATX Slabs from Morris4x4 and they will be here Tuesday next week. Woo hoo!

Can't wait to get Mauser back on all fours!

What are you going to do about your fender clearance?

I'm currently running an AEV 3.5" lift and will be changing out the rear bumpstops for the 4.5" ones. My understanding is with the 4.5" bumpstops in the rear, the 37s will clear with minimal rubbing. If that isn't the case, time for the jigsaw! :) That said, the fenders match the AEV bumpers so I am really going to try to avoid cutting them.
