Local trail...Hunter Lake

[MTG]

A few Wayalife members got together for an early morning run today. I only managed a few photos, but I thought I'd post them up.


Gorgeous northern Nevada morning.

Stop at Hunter Lake.


Not too shabby.


There was a lot of water up there still.


And then we hit snow. Not much at first, but eventually it got too deep to pass.


After turning around we did a little exploring and took in the views.


A big fire burned a bunch of this land a few years back.

Fun early morning run. Nice meeting everyone. We will have to get back up there when the snow melts a little more.

Those pics don't do the hill justice. It's steep enough to cause a little pucker.

Was a great time out there with you guys, looking forward to doing it again. was also great to meet everyone and share the experience. didn't get many pics either but was a great morning out there. thanks to MTG for leading us up and most the way back till Sharkey took over!

Thx to NevadaZeilMeister, MTG, benatc1, Sharkey, and Quicksliverjk for taking me out on my maiden Wayalife voyage. What an awesome group of people. Hopefully, I made a mark as being the only one to have to get some help in some snow pack lmao. Wayalife has me hooked and look forward to more runs in the future. I have a lot of the same pics so ill share the one I have of Rubysky breathing down my neck lol

We had a great time on this last minute trip with good people. Although so people though I started this run, I want to make sure that this was actually the work of MTG and Sharkey. They knew the trails since they grew up here and were able to navigate us around without difficulty. I am very impressed with how much fun they made this trip.

QuicksilverJK working a steep line. I kept the camera angle level to show how steep it was. Nerves of steel that one, with his 29 week pregnant wife in the passenger seat. A very experienced and confident drive.

We stopped and suddenly there was a traffic jam.


I cannot thank people like Sharkey and MTG enough for being there and showing us the trail. I also cannot thank you QuicksilverJK and Sharkey enough for helping me build RubySky.

Here's to many more fun adventures with the waylaid folks!!

Wow! I saw the alert on the news and I wondered. Man that sucks. Gorgeous country up there. Hope they get it under control quick with these winds

Yeh, that is really close to the trailhead alright. Without thunderstorms at all, this is going to have to be human triggered, which just upsets me even more. Didn't people realize it was a red flag warning and to be extra careful?
