I think this has been a topic of conversation but what makes a rig an Overland rig vs crawler?

In all seriousness here are a few of my older "overlanding builds" ;)

All my rigs kind of go places, but some just do it much easier, with more comfort and most importantly, more reliability. I just really like anything that goes off road!

Love them but I see you came to the jk side. I saw these on the expo debate thread.

You have an awesome rig now that is for sure!

Actually, I have owned them all! JK, TJ, CJ's, J-20 3/4 ton truck, FJ40 (1969), Land Rover Discovery II, LR3, Range Rover, about ten different trucks for towing and work. They were all subjected to Offroad use, some did better than others, but I really enjoyed them all........Maybe not FJ40, that thing just stayed in a constant state of being repaired!

Here are a few pics of my newest addition to the cause a pioneer tool trailer that is now going to be called Base Camp 1 more to come on this toy

Here's my expedition rig....

No need for a snorkel being that my 40's do a pretty good job of keeping my head above water. Got a fridge, a welder and all kinds of gear to stay out on the trail for extended periods of time and do so all the time. :yup:

I see Smokey hiding behind a bush.

Overlanding while out on an expedition. Usually I drive long distances to reach various points of mallexpeditions. 😉

Sorry, I don't have too many driveway shots but, here's one of our overland rig while staying out longer on an expedition to stop and smell the roses a little more...

Thanks for noticing the driveway shot! It was a shot after the rack install. I did not install it on the trail.
And I have never seen a forum that has only taken 1 hour to completely insult a new member
Great job!!
Thanks for the heart felt welcome everyone

Here's both of mine I know they don't have snorkels but I'll risk it.

Oh come on, please tell me that you're not being serious. This is the internet and you have to know that if we were having this conversation in person over some beers, I think you would have seen this a bit differently :yup:
