LED headlights on wet roads?

Halogen bulbs suck when a road is wet and its night time. You can hardly see it from the light reflecting off of it. HIDs solve this issue and I was curious if trucklites do the same or if they are closer to halogen lights on wet roads.
 
I have no problem with my Truck lites on wet roads. Honestly never heard of this problem before.
 
I had this problem with halogens, because when it rains here in phx @ night the street lights are on + you halogens = shine off the 17 and half the time I couldn't see the lane lines. I corrected this with HIDs and made sure I got sealed ballasts, also I beefed up the seal where the bulb twists in to the light housing. I got the 5000k color because that's the best over all color balance (IMHO) hope this helped.
I don't see why the trucklites wouldn't do the same or better.
 
Both sets of Truck-Lites that I've owned (JK & XJ) work great on wet roads. I can't compare with HID's, since I've never owned any, but they are worlds better than halogens for sure. :yup:
 
I dont notice it on just wet roads in general, but in mist or following vehicles where there is a lot of water coming off the tires I find the truck lites between the Halogens and HID's, but I still see some reflection.

LEDs and HID are brighter in general. Halogen lights have a very "warm" color temp which can be hard to illuminate the reflective roadway stripes/lines. I have noticed that in wet weather/roadways the LEDs have no problem shining on the roadway making those road lines noticeable. This was something that was almost impossible with the stock lights. So to answer the question, LED and HID are way better on wet roads than the stock config.

I had a lot of problems with the stock headlights too. I have to say since upgraded to the Trucklites it is 100% better.
 
I have TL's. I just move from sunny SoCal to Oregon. I am still happy and amazed with my purchase. They out perform any light on the road. I had a JW Speaker in my Harley Street Glide, great light but the beam was flat and narrow in my opinion. Only difference I see now from SOCal to here is that I have to make sure to clean them off every once in a while. :cheesy:
