KMC XD232 Beadlock Wheels / Where to Find Or Get New Wheels

Good Morning, I picked up a set of these used but unfortunately one is bent pretty good. While I search everywhere I can to find if someone has a spare, is anyone running these and like them? (If you have one or know of one that would be great!)

Or is there a similar wheel with the same specs that’s a newer replacement? It looks like the Grenades are slightly different as they are 17x8.5 vs these which are 17x9 with a little more offset.

I’d rather not have to find a new set of wheels if I can’t find one but open to input. May start looking for non beadlocks as well but I appreciate the advantages on the trail.

Much appreciated!

the wheel is bent?
Yes, went to ge them balanced and the rear driver side has a nice wobble to it. Recommendation was 20oz of weights to even try and fix the wobble but I’d rather just move it as a spare and find a new one.

Tested it out today to see how it was. No shake from the seat of my pants but I can see it dancing a bit

I just haven’t found a place with them in stock since they are discontinued. I’ve seen some places say they are in stock but aren’t when I’ve called.
Is the beadlock ring all beat up?
What tires are they mounted on?
Have you looked into wheel repair?

Beadlock ring has small gouges but I watched it spin on the balance machine and you could see the wheel wobbling vs the tire. The rim itself was out of whack.

Tire is a 35x12.5R17 Mickey Thompson

Haven’t dived into wheel repair just yet, but that will be my next move just to see what they could do if I can’t find one.

Coopers are notorious for needing a lot of weight. 20oz is not that bad. If the wheel was bent it would need a lot more than that. Hell I had wheels back in the day that needed over 30 ounces.
I agree, this one is the wheel though. I watched it spin on the machine and it’s obvious it’s the wheel

If the wheel and tire are connected together, which is normal for a tire machine, then you can't just watch one. You are overthinking this too much. Just balance it and move on. I would put money on it that it is your tires. You don't have a scratch on your jeep, doubt you were able to bend a wheel unless you were in an accident.

Just trying to find another spare or look to see if anyone else has found a similar 17x9 with 3.5” of backspacing like these. I bought these used and didn’t even think to check if they were bent. Usually have that issue with steel wheels. So previous owner must have schwacked it on something. When I say you can see it’s the wheel it’s obvious. I’ve had both tires out of balance and bent wheels before. With this tire size mounted on the wheel it’s really easy to see that the wheel is bent and not a tire issue.

This. You don't bend a beadlock wheel by going to Starbucks.

Also, I'd never seen this guy before but I know why now. Realized it wasn't his personal blog.

Is the wheel out of of spec or is it the ring?

Agreed, got tired of posting my build pages here. I did go into more detail than most. That’s the joy of being able to make your own build thread however you want. Nice throwback. Hadn’t seen that in a while.

Did you personally witness the wheel itself (the edge of the rim) wobble? What if it is not actually bent? Aluminum seems more likely to crack than bend.
