Update.

The dealer says the Gladiator is on the way and should arrive in the next couple of days. Originally we were told six weeks for delivery so this is a happy surprise.

More info to follow.

We picked up the Gladiator in TN and are traveling back home to VA. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

So far I am really impressed with the ride and the power. I varied the speed between 75 & 85 and avoided hard acceleration. At those speeds and with several long interstate hill climbs the Jeep averaged 22 mpg. The motor feels smooth and plenty strong, the noise is very minimal. With the windows down in low speed city driving you can tell it’s a diesel, however with the windows up or at highway speeds you would never know it was not gas powered. So far I am extremely happy with the decision to get the diesel.

The interior is very nice and the seats are super comfortable. There is an amazing amount of technology in the Jeep and enough gadgets and features to keep my wife entertained for years to come. 😁

Tomorrow I’ll have some pictures.

Update

Second tank of diesel and the mpg increased a bit as did the power. With all the fuel shortage crap going on getting decent mileage during interstate travel means more than it ever did before. To some this may not be stellar mpg, however compared to my JKU this is nothing short of amazing. 🤣

For comparison the wife’s Toyota 4-Runner we traded for the Gladiator got 16-17 on the trip out. We stopped for fuel three times to cover the same distance the JT did. with two tanks.

Honestly I was wondering if she would regret trading the Toyota, however that is definitely not the case and she is already asking me about winches, bumpers, lift kits and such. I’m going to need to start working even more now that I have two hungry Jeep’s to feed! 💰 💵 😳

It rained all day so sorry no decent pictures. I should get a chance next weekend.

I am impressed with the comfort and technology of the Gladiator, however it is still practical, rugged and feels like a Jeep. The sound system is impressive and the heated seats and steering wheel were a treat.

Here are a few pictures of the inside.
