JP Aloha JL & Friends

We’ve had the JL since new, built to order, for just over 2 years now.
The overall intent is to have it be capable of most things but not be great at one thing at the detriment of others. When we eventually retire this will be the vehicle that moves with us to the Philippines so it will need to tackle some rough roads, poorly maintained and often flooded trails to the family farm as well as trips to the beach. All without being overly fragile so it may be over built for what it’s asked to do.

So far it has the Mopar 2” lift which is working well for us, Teraflex adjustable front and rear track bars plus chromoly tie rod (the drag link is next on the list), 35x12.5x17 KO2’s, Warn Zeon 12-s, ARB dual compressor and Maximus3 stinger as the highlight reel. There are many smaller items that have been done as well but it’s a long and potentially boring list, lol.

She has a couple of friends in our family fleet:
Wife’s 2020 KL Trailhawk Elite, stock aside from a K&N air filter and different trail rated emblems - it’s her daily driver so doubt we’ll get to modify it much, plus she has her eye on a GC Trailhawk.
My daily driver is 2014 WK2 Laredo with the Quadra-Trac II transfer case. It’s a new to us high mileage (242,000km now) “beater” but proving to very reliable so may get a soft-roader makeover as things wear out. I can see a 2” lift, KO2’s and maybe a hidden winch in it’s future if it remains as trustworthy as it has been so far (new front brakes and a precautionary spark plug change will come first). It had some cheapo aftermarket rims when we got it so they’ve been switched out for some takeoff JK Rubicon rims, air filter was filthy so replaced with a K&N so we never have to add more to the landfill, new cabin filter and some red paint for the tow hooks (Purely so it didn’t feel left out, lol).
