Still need to do some things, like bolt in a seat, put the hood on, fix some shackles, get the brake lights and turn signals working, but fuck it, first drive. I’d guess it’s the first time in 22 years it’s been on the road under it’s own power.

Leafs came in today. Thank you china. Original seats back in it too! I’m planning on DD it for work next week,

Replacing the rear main, while transmission and t case are out, I’m having it rebuilt, if was also leaking out of every seal.

I like working on them but fuck…. I
Left early work today, whenever I fuck something up, I can’t sleep until it’s fixed….

It’s been a minute since I’ve worked on it. After I pulled the transmission and t case. I discovered first gear was chewed up. I sent the unit to my local transmission shop for a rebuild. Luckily Crown Automotive has new gears and a decent amount of replacement parts. $1,500 later, it’s back in. I’m hoping to have it back on the road by the 4th.

That's awesome that you can still find parts for something like that.

It’s my way of relaxing and getting away from work in my head. I’ll be sad when it’s done, next up is the corvette lol.
It had always been mine too. Unfortunately, in recent years, I've always felt a need to document everything and or make what I do into videos and so it tends to feel like work.
