Irritating tinging sound

Does it only start at 25mph. Or can you have someone walk along side you to get a more specific listen. Had a similar sound like that on my Cherokee wound up being cv joint

It really only started around then. I could not replicate the sound at low speeds only when I got moving around 25+MPH. BUT since replacing the rear pads the sound has gone away completely. I knew it wasn't a "turning" part like a CV or UJ because the sound never sped up or slowed with speed. The only way I could describe the sound is lightly tapping two wrenches together...
